From assisting work to being the business

Source

The idea

Z47 contrasts AI assistance for existing professionals with businesses designed around AI from the outset. Examples include law firms, healthcare companies and service organisations in which AI is an operating layer, not merely a copilot sold to incumbent institutions.

Why this is interesting

  • An AI-native business can redesign the service rather than sell a copilot into an old process, although it must still earn trust and carry the obligations of the underlying profession.
  • A venture thesis describes where an investor sees possibility. It does not by itself identify a narrow buyer, an entry wedge or evidence of demand.

Possible starting points

01

AI-native managed service

Rebuild one narrow professional workflow around a delivered result, with explicit human review and escalation.

02

Compliance-first specialist firm

Enter a regulated service where auditability, turnaround and standard evidence create a defensible operating system.

Questions to answer

  1. Why will the new operating model be materially better than software sold to an incumbent provider?
  2. Which professional judgements, licences and liabilities cannot be delegated to the system?
