Biological crop stimulants

The idea
Differentiated biological crop inputs; BioPrime example.
Why this is interesting
- A differentiated biological input still has to reach farmers through a distribution channel and show a result they can see in their own fields, which may matter as much as the formulation.
- Omnivore describes this through a company in its own portfolio, in a fund newsletter. That shows one team is attempting the approach. It does not show that the market is open or that customers are underserved, and the newsletter’s traction claims were not independently checked.
Possible starting points
Field result documentation
Help input companies run and record comparable plots with farmer groups so results can be shown season after season.
One crop, one region programme
Start with a crop and region where a farmer producer organisation can coordinate application and feedback.
Questions to answer
- What evidence would a farmer or dealer accept that a biostimulant worked?
- Which approvals does a new product need before sale, and how long do they take?
